Our hotel is fully committed to integrating environmental considerations into every aspect of its operations.

We are aware of our responsibility towards the planet and the local community in which we operate.

For this reason, we have established this Environmental Charter to formalise our commitments and raise awareness among our team, partners, suppliers and guests about the importance of protecting the environment and preserving our local area.

Staff Awareness and Training

Specific Training: Our environmental manager receives ongoing training on sustainable tourism, environmental protection and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Ongoing Awareness: We are committed to regularly raising awareness and training our teams on environmental issues through dedicated training sessions and internal meetings. Our staff are trained in eco-friendly practices to incorporate into their daily tasks. We also encourage our employees to choose sustainable forms of transport, such as cycling, public transport or walking, for their daily commute.

Water and Energy Conservation

Resource Optimisation: We are committed to optimising the use of water and energy throughout our hotel by adopting efficient technologies and encouraging responsible practices among both our staff and guests.

All our lighting uses LED technology, helping to reduce energy consumption while maintaining the same level of comfort for our guests. We have also installed motion sensors and timers in communal areas and corridors to limit unnecessary energy use. Water-saving devices have been fitted to taps and showers to help preserve water resources.

Reducing Waste: We have introduced practical measures to reduce water and energy waste by monitoring our consumption and raising awareness among our teams about responsible use. Our water and electricity meters are monitored monthly, allowing us to better understand and manage our consumption.

Waste Reduction

Waste Reduction at Source: We strive to minimise waste by choosing reusable, recyclable or biodegradable packaging whenever possible.

For our breakfast buffet, we favour bulk products and larger packaging formats to reduce unnecessary packaging waste.

We provide refillable Ecopump guest amenities to help reduce single-use packaging. Additional guest amenities are also available on request, allowing us to better meet our guests’ individual needs while limiting unnecessary consumption.

Waste Sorting and Recycling: We have implemented a waste sorting system throughout the hotel to encourage effective recycling and waste recovery.

We sort a wide range of materials, including cardboard, paper, plastic, metal and glass, as well as food and organic waste, which is collected by a specialised company for recovery and processing. We also encourage our guests to take part by providing dedicated waste sorting points within the hotel.

Responsible Purchasing & Local Suppliers

Supporting Local Suppliers: We give priority to local suppliers and regional products to reduce our carbon footprint while supporting the local economy in Alsace.

Environmentally Responsible Products: We favour products with a lower environmental impact, prioritising recognised eco-labels and sustainable alternatives whenever possible.

Guest Communication & Awareness

Transparent Communication: We communicate openly with our guests about our environmental commitments and sustainable practices.

Encouraging Guest Participation: We encourage our guests to adopt eco-friendly practices during their stay by providing information on simple actions they can take, including waste sorting, sustainable mobility and everyday eco-friendly habits.

We also provide information about local wildlife and plant life in Alsace and offer alternatives to travelling by car, including bicycle rental, public transport and shuttle services, helping guests explore Molsheim and the surrounding Alsace region more sustainably.

And Much More:

We regularly support local reuse and recycling organisations by donating equipment and furniture whenever possible, helping to give these items a second life.

We are committed to reducing our CO₂ emissions by promoting sustainable forms of transport and investing in more environmentally responsible technologies.

We recognise that this Environmental Charter is an evolving commitment. We therefore review it regularly to reflect technological developments and environmental best practices.

Together with our teams, partners and guests, we are committed to working towards a more sustainable future and actively contributing to the protection of our environment.

Thank You for Supporting Our Commitment!
